CCCG (China Communication Construction Group) was established in 1897 under the name CCCC Tianjin Dredging Co.Ltd. The company has quite a long history of name changes.
In 1905, the company changed its name to CCC Shanghai Dredging Co.Ltd., then CCCC First Harbor Engineering Company Ltd in 1945, CCCC First Harbor Consultants co.Ltd in 1958, China Road and Bridge Corporation in 1979, China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. in 1980, Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries co.Ltd in 1992.
The name changes ended in 2005 when the name changed to CCCG (China Communications Construction Group).
In 2015, CCCG achieved several awards: Ranked 165th in Fortune's 'Top 500 Global Companies', tanked 151st in Forbes Top Companies Global 2000 and ranked 5th Engineering News-Record (ENR) in the Top 250 International Contractors of the World.
Asides from China, CCG's projects are spread all over the world, including Jamaica, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sudane, Cameroon, Egypt, Sri Lanka and Saigon.
